From February 14-16, most of the state’s best wrestlers faced off at the State Farm Center in Champaign, Illinois.

When the dust had settled, Oak Forest had three particularly outstanding finishers. In the 113-pound division, senior Miles Trahey finished 2nd in the State, capping a terrific high school career. Meanwhile, Anthony Schickel, a junior, also took 2nd in the 12o-pound group. In the 195-pound division, junior Julian Ramirez finished 4th in the state.

These outstanding athletes follow in the finest tradition of Oak Forest wrestling, which has produced many state qualifiers and finalists and several IHSA state champions. Mr. Forst leads an extremely capable coaching staff.
