OF-TP: Neighborhood Rivalry

The Bengals were set to be well-matched against the Tinley Park Titans in an exciting away match up. Sadly, the Bengals fell in a tough loss to the to the Titans for the first time since 2012. The Titans struck early, making it 6-0 in the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Titans scored two unanswered touchdowns, stretching their lead to 20-0. Then, late in the first half, the Bengals responded with two touchdowns of their own, narrowing Tinley’s lead to 28-14 before halftime.

The Titans came back with a vengeance in the third quarter, scoring right out of that gate to extend their lead. The Bengals tried to make a late comeback, scoring two touchdowns in the fourth quarter. There was a crushing fumble on the one-yard line for the Bengals. The Titans responded to the Bengals’ defense with two more touchdowns, leaving the final score at 42-28. It was sad to see Oak Forest fall short, but another classic rivals’ match-up will take place this Friday at Lemont.
