As a senior at Oak Forest High School I’ve learned to appreciate the value of my education. The teacher who I felt has had the biggest impact is Mr. Matlon. I’ve been in one of Mr. Matlon’s classes each of the last four years. I have had the best experience in his Sports and Entertainment Marketing (SEM). I have learned the basics of sports marketing as well as what it takes to promote an event. My favorite memory of being in his SEM class is going to a Bulls game back in February. The class has also taught me more skills on how to work on a team with other people.

Other experiences at Oak Forest High School that I had were when I went on field trips. In SEM, I went to a Bulls game. Other field trips I had were to Skyzone, Adler Planetarium, the Chicago History Museum, and Chinatown. The field trip where I had the best experience was the one to the Chicago History Museum and Chinatown for Minority Studies.
