Boys’ Basketball Wins 11 of Its Last 12 Games

A winning team is one that works harder and with more unity than any other—a team that learns and grows from every practice and every game. The varsity boys’ basketball team is definitely a hardworking, winning group.

The boys have been pushing themselves to compete at a higher level looking to stay consistent and play at a more advanced level. They want to better themselves not only individually but as a team. The boys believe that they do not have a sole captain for the team and that they should rotate the position for the rest of the season.

Seniors Ethan Balinao, Adrian Gonzalez, Max Torres, and Mike Kilcommons have been showing great leadership in their last season playing as Bengals. The team has a great 14-4 record overall, 4-2 in SSC play. The team has also accomplished finishing in 2nd place at the Maine East Holiday Tournament and have brought home two big conference wins at Shepard and Richards. Overall, they look forward to continuing to play well each night. They are striving for an SSC title as well as working towards the best seed possible in the IHSA playoffs. We wish the boys very good luck on the rest of their season. We know they’ll be great.
