The Snowball Effect

Rhianna Sumrall, Contributing Writer

A snowball effect is defined as a small process that starts from an initial state of small significance and builds upon itself, becoming larger and hopefully beneficial. How would you feel about being a part of a snowball effect? You can be. Recently we talked with Mr. Valiska about the club he sponsors, Snowball. In this program, students have the opportunity to have fun, not be judged, and even do community service projects to benefit many others.

Snowball will have their next meeting on November 15, after school, in room 618. At this meeting, the group will be planning its next community service project: the toy drive to help kids with cancer, associated with the Pediatric Oncology Treasure Chest Foundation. Snowball also has a holiday party coming up on December 11 at Kenootz Pizza from 4-5:30pm.

Snowball will impact the school in many ways. Those involved get the satisfaction of helping others as well as learning many new things. If you want to get involved, show up to one of the meetings or stop in room 618 to talk to Mr. Valiska.
