Quick Write: Music for My Mother

I believe that an “American Identity” isn’t created but given. After all you are a product of your environment. The things that’s popular now had to come from somewhere before they gained popularity. The clothes that people wore came from a long time ago. It’s almost like they just re-styled or re-vamped the clothes and put it in a different package. That way of thinking can go for everything considered “new or popular”. Shoes, clothes, jewelry, and even hair was already there but over the years they changed things about them to make it more suitable for Americans. Even though people claim to have their own identity, it’s the same as everyone else’s because it all came from somewhere.
