Beetlejuice Ushers in a Very Scary Halloween Homecoming
October 9, 2019
It is a fair question: Halloween or Homecoming? But why not both? On Wednesday, October 2, the Oak Forest High School Student Council hosted a movie night open to students and the community, and it had a great turnout. We had a lot of people excited to come watch Beetlejuice, a fall favorite. The film choice was first put up for discussion, and it came down to Beetlejuice or Hocus Pocus, but Beetlejuice eventually swept Hocus Pocus in a vote.
This movie night was Student Council’s second official one, included as part of our annual Homecoming week celebrations. The faculty and student body could feel the Homecoming energy throughout the entire week with so many people participating in the daily activities. Students had a great time watching Beetlejuice, munching on pizza and popcorn, and drinking complementary root beer floats. It was a great way to relax and treat our students and staff. Everyone got to see a spooky showing courtesy of our own student council. We look forward to more movie nights at the OFHS cinema.
