Clubs and activities are all about getting to know people. We need hear ideas from others, work together, and learn teamwork. Clubs are a perfect place to meet people. Members of school clubs put a lot of effort trying to make the school community a perfect place to be in, but we don’t get that much attention, while sports like football and dance team do.
Our school clubs and activities put a ton of effort into supporting the community, but sports get the attention that we rarely do. We can’t just feel anonymous. Clubs should be getting equal attention to sports. Students in clubs host events like the Cultural Fair. They collect donations, support people struggling with diseases, and run Mental Health Awareness Week. They also stage plays, put up Homecoming decorations, and spread joy around the school. These are just a few of their contributions.
Personally, I also participate in clubs to meet new people, work together in a group, and show how much I care and want to help people. We work together to support this school and make the Bengal community a home for everyone. Sports get more attention than just us, though. Clubs do get attention, but it’s just a bit, and after a day or two, it feels as if the recognition is gone. There has to be a way to showcase our clubs more.
